Seems like all "quoted pay" to team trucks - is to THE TRUCK, with a 50/50 split on the team.
So even at 6CPM per driver, since you are getting paid for ALL MILES (not just your own driven) - it ends up being the same thing. IE: solo 3K miles per week at 12CPM, is the same as team 6K miles per week at 6CPM.

Drivers are often paid by the mile and it's given in cents per mile, or cpm.
Rick has it right. Another way you can look at it is take the total miles of the truck and split it in two, then you can figure all the pay numbers, like cpm , per diem , and the like without splitting them. Either way it comes out the same.
Example, your truck does 6000 miles for the week. You can either do the per diem as .06 per mile for $360 or do .12 per mile at 3000 miles for $360. Either way it works out the same.

Getting paid per diem means getting a portion of your salary paid to you without taxes taken out. It's technically classified as a meal and expense reimbursement.
Truck drivers and others who travel for a living get large tax deductions for meal expenses. The Government set up per diem pay as a way to reimburse some of the taxes you pay with each paycheck instead of making you wait until tax filing season.
Getting per diem pay means a driver will get a larger paycheck each week but a smaller tax return at tax time.

Any Werner drivers here driving team? We are getting our per diem of .12 per mile split to .06. Is this standard practice for teams? We signed up for per diem indiviually and were never told about a split.
