Has This Already Been Done?

Had an interesting idea, wondered if this has already been implemented.

The idea is, an option in a device such as your GPS unit, or maybe even an app on your phone that is a friend's list. With all the crisscrossing we do, it's likely you may pass one of your trucker friends and never know it.

With this app, it will notify you when someone on your friends list is within a specified distance from you, so you can chat on cb, or even stop and get a bite to eat together.

Trucker social networking! Lol. Sounds silly, but, out there on the road, that friendly face or voice on the radio may be just what you need to lift your day.

There is an app that does that already though for the life of me I can't recall what it is called. If I remember I'll post it here, otherwise someone else may remember.

It alerts you when friends are within 50 miles. Unfortunately for me, it's only available on Android as of now.

I believe Waze does it, but it is used more by car drivers then truck drivers though I use it for traffic jams.
