Welcome Danny! There are a number of drivers on the forum working for PAM Transport. Great to hear you are working through the High Road Training Program, it's a valuable tool that many folks on this forum have taken full advantage of and numerous reports back of making their path less stressful as a result. Not sure if you have reviewed the below links. If not, I think you will find them helpful.
And this link copied from TT's trucking company review page: PAM Transport Inc.
You can also enter the word PAM in the search bar located in the upper left-hand corner of this page. Press enter and the search will return all of the archived threads relevant to PAM. We're here to help and offer tidbits of experience and knowledge enabling your success. Good luck!
Thank you G-Town!
I appreciate the welcome and the links you've provided. I've already read Brett's Book twice... it's full of valuable information, as is the rest of this site, and will most likely go through it again to pull out a few more nuggets :)
Cheers! Danny
Truck drivers who regularly pick up from or deliver to the shipping ports will often be required to carry a TWIC card.
Your TWIC is a tamper-resistant biometric card which acts as both your identification in secure areas, as well as an indicator of you having passed the necessary security clearance. TWIC cards are valid for five years. The issuance of TWIC cards is overseen by the Transportation Security Administration and the Department of Homeland Security.

Hello everyone,
I'm completely new to trucking and looking forward to this next chapter in my life. Thank you for this very informative site... I'm so glad I found this early in my research. Some great stuff here.
I signed up with PAM Transport through Driver Solutions and was given a start date the day after my application was submitted. My training will be done by CDL of GA.
Now for a quick HU. I'm making use of the High Road Training Program, the eGears Learning Center (provided by Driver Solutions) and the Georgia DDS Commercial Drivers Manual which I downloaded directly from the DDS website. Yesterday I happened to be near my local DMV and decided to pop in and grab a hard copy of the manual. To my surprise the hard copy has a revision of 7/1/2015 whilst the downloaded version is from 6/1/2013... Somewhat out of date I'd say.
I'm not sure what's been revised but thought it might help someone just to be aware of this.
Again, keep up the great work with this site. Until next time.
Danny
