ChickieMonster -- While I thank you for the additional information regarding driver-facing cameras, I did not have any questions in that regard. I also don't believe Matt H. had been asking about driver-facing cameras, either. It appears he had been asking about forward- facing cams, to the front of the rig. My comments were also about the cameras to the front of the rig. The statement regarding accessibility to the camera does not mean I thought it would be a live feed either -- however, I'm aware usually company-installed means the policy of anything on that camera is owned by and belongs to the company as it's the property (the equipment) and they can view any recording any time they wish, regardless of the driver's objections -- live feed or not.

Again, Matt H. was asking why drivers may have issues with this. I shared my personal thoughts why a driver *may* have issues with this. Some people are not too keen on having everything absolutely scrutinize-able by the company just because the recorder itself is the company's property, and therefore any footage is 100% theirs and accessible by company policy. My other occupation has the same policy in regards to using the district's camera -- ANY photographs or usage of the district's camera belongs to the district, regardless of content, user, and purpose. I would imagine the same for company-installed cameras. Maybe drivers wouldn't mind recording via a dash cam, but would prefer it to not be company-installed for that reason and use their own equip instead.

I'm surprised not many others have commented yet on Matt H's question regarding company-installed dash cameras, which seems to be in regard to forward (road) facing. I'm still interested in their responses to Matt H's question.

Errol -- Yes, I've been checking out Allie Knight's videos. A GoPro was already on my to-get list along with a laptop and a bicycle, and in addition to adjustable dumbbells and kettlebell, haha!

Matt asked about cameras, non-specific. There are both, just forward and forward/driver facing. Chickie did answer part of Matt's question, TransAm has company installed cameras that face forward and towards the driver. Swift has a very similar setup.
