Anyone have any thoughts/comments about an American applying to and driving for a Canadian trucking company? Experiences?!

You won't be able to move to Canada, get a place to live and a job, without being a permanent resident. If you are applying as a single person without any family ties or special skill, it would take anywhere from years to never before you were awarded permanent residency.

My uncle was a trucker in mexico about a decade back, he was a trucker for 9 years, he would always get stop by cops who would steal cargo from him one time apparently they tried to take too much so they he stopped them (big mistake), the cops played it cool and let him ride off into the sunset but a few miles later he got stopped by a gang known as "mara salvatrucha" they not only peeled both of his hands with a knife both stole his whole cargo aswell, he called the cops after the gang left him and eventually the same group of cops came and ticket him for driving irrationally along with a few other stupid charges. he got shot 32 times two years later and his body was thrown ditch.

do not go drive a truck into mexico, even better avoid mexico at all cost, we have it good enough here in the U.S

MS are notoriously brutal, even here in the US. I watched a documentary on them a while back. One of the highlights of the show was about how they executed one of their members for snitching to the FBI. What was so brutal about it? The member was a 17 year old girl, she was 7 months pregnant, and the guy the gang tapped to do the hit was the baby daddy. That's right, he was ordered to murder both his girlfriend and their unborn child. They did an interview with him, from prison, and he showed exactly zero remorse. Great bunch of guys.
