That's heartbreaking to watch because it seems that's just an example of someone panicking when they're not sure what to do. Then as things got worse and worse he just kept making bigger and bigger mistakes.
I've always said about trucking,
"We're all human. We all make mistakes. The key is to make sure your mistakes are little ones and that you're little ones don't become big ones."
That was a great example of a little mistake (going down a road with a low bridge) turning into a huge mistake (doing a ton of damage to the truck).
You have to keep your composure out there. You have to stay relaxed as much as possible and work through tough situations with clear, calm thinking. This guy obviously panicked and did a lot of completely unnecessary damage. He should have gotten out of that situation without a scratch. But he panicked. That's a bummer.

That sucked. It looks like he could have gone forward, instead of back, but I do NOT know what was on the other side of the trailer. That is why I hate driving in New York.

I would think some where sooner then the bridge, there should have been been a sign saying no trucks.
