I am a larger fellow that will be new to trucking soon. I am 6'4". What tractors have the most room inside for the driver and in the rear cab (sleeper). Thank you for your input.

Not to worry. I'm 6'2", and never had a problem in the front seat (OK, maybe you don't get to see the sky so much since you're head's sitting so high!)

As for the bunk, the size is all across the back. The mattress may be a Twin-XL (buy sheets with TXL for the size). Lots of room for you to stretch out and have a small duffel at the foot, too!

Full agreement with Errol.

If you were approaching seven feet tall and 500lbs, then you might need to be concerned about room in modern sleeper cabs. I have seen some tiny looking sleeper cabs on older trucks, so some older model trucks might give you some problems, but when I say that I mean 10-15+ years old for the most part. Most companies that take new drivers run modern fleets, with trucks rarely over 5 years old..

I think the international prostars have the most sleeper room vut i don't care for the autoshift internationals that my company has. We do fine in our freightliner manual though storage wise. My other half is 6'4" and has no trouble stretching out.
