So after a whole year last week I finally got a load out WEST! A 3 stop drop to Montana. When it came across I had to ask another driver what MT stood for lol. Pretty long and uneventful trip accept the dear that tried to get run over. Truck stops are few and far between and the scenery is just beautiful! Now getting a reload outta there:/ 6hrs and wasnt scheduled til the next day. I had to drive 300 miles to ID to pick a load of potatoes:/ YUCK! IT took the 5 times to reliad my truck and 8 times across the scale to get my lweights legal! I was pretty ****ed since I told them how to load my truck and they wouldn't listen. Evidently I dont know what I. Doing cause I have boobs lol The miles were fabulous though. 3900 in a week. In 2 days I will make a year wirh my company 10/11. I cant believe its been a yr! Doesn't seem like that long. Im still waiting for a student. Mine failed orientation:/ Maybe one of the females here would be my guinea pig hehehe.

I have followed you since you came on here and really enjoy your posts. Congrats on your year and continue with your updates. Your students don't really know yet what a great instructor they are getting. Keep up the great work you are doing!

Hey, congrats on getting your first year of driving in - that's awesome!

Wow, Montana must be growing. If I remember correctly, they only had two places in the whole state. They must have added a third and you delivered to them all!

I can't believe your student failed orientation. How does one manage that??? wtf-2.gif

I also can't believe you're waiting on a student. It seems most companies desperately need female trainers. Prime had like a 9 month waiting list or something like that to get a female trainer.

Lifes pretty much evened out and my truck is "home". I feel lost in the real world. Im anxious to get my first student but I know I can help. After all Ive been training Special K over the phone!

Unfortunately not alot of folks know about WEL. They arent in the blogs or highly recruited. Its a great company though and I plan to stick around awhile. Our company does a road test to test you into the company Im guessing she failed that. I had 3 stops in 2 cities so maybe it hasnt grown that much! Lol But I loved the peace and quiet. Beats the day I had today 4 stops. 1 in center city Philly and 3 in NJ followed by 4 hrs in Friday rush hr to pick up my next load in NJ. 4 1/2 hrs to do 125 miles! Get here with 11 minutes on my 14 and they are saying not loading me til Monday! Ive been up since 4am so sleep is in my immediate future. Ill worry bout that in the am. Although sleeping next to an active amtrack rail is gonna be a real "special" experience!

Ill have to hunt em down and snag it back! Thats one thing about this job that sucks is missing my babies. But their happy and so am I. I love my job but one day Ill be local. Not anytime soon though! I cant imagine not driving right now. Time sure does fly when your having fun. PS. I STILL get my nails done every 2 weeks;)

Every time I see a WEL truck on the road I try to look over and see if it's you in there! Sadly it never has been so far lol. I haven't been out west either yet. I've come to know I-81 like the back of my hand though, I'm always going from NJ to Texas and back. No complaints though. I'll get a load out west next month I think because I'll be out for longer than my normal 11 days, I'll be out an whole 3 weeks... I think I'll need to pack extra underwear!

Hope you get a student soon, they're missing out on a great training experience I am sure.
