Taking off tomorrow for my first real trip excited as anything, my first truck is a 2010 pro star with a few plus and minus options the biggest draw back so I have been told is the transmission. It has the auto ninth gear but it is the Cummings engine with out DEf that to me is a big plus i do have a question the windows in the back are big and i like that but are their a curtain or blind for them to get a bit more privacy? I have not been able to find anything on the Net but not sure if I am looking for the right thing any ways will keep every one posted on the first few months of driving. Be safe

Dominic, congratulations!

Make sure you check your permits and stickers. Make sure none are expired. Verify your insurance paper and registration.

Check for any damage to the truck, if there is you need to report it. When you turn in the truck and it has damage on it then they could put it on you.

Go through the entire truck with a toothpick. Everywhere. Remember its now your responsibility.

Make sure you have chains, bungees, and the keys for the chains. Examine the chains to make sure they are in good condition.

Make sure you have spare fuses, fully-charged fire extinguisher, and 3 reflective triangles. Make sure you have extra fluids (Coolant, Hub Oil, Power Steering Fluid, Engine Oil).

About the window, normally when the cab has a window the window is usually tinted black. So you can see out from the inside but no one can see through the window from the outside. Is your window really not tinted?

Congratulations on getting your truck! But remember this is now your responsibility so make sure you have everything you need before you take off on that first load. Congrats again! Today is a good day!
