Here is something else to consider, you are very young. At your age three years seems like an eternity. It's not. One thing trucking companies look for is stable work history. If you can't find a local driving job, having any job for the next three years will be necessary. Good luck.

I understand that and thank you for your input. There isn't really many options here apart from fast food and I refuse to work in a fast food business. I know I'm young.

I understand that and thank you for your input. There isn't really many options here apart from fast food and I refuse to work in a fast food business. I know I'm young.

Well, if you happen to live near Oakley, KS, after a discussion I had with the shift manager at the Blue Beacon there, I was told that one reason they only have a single bay is because they have a hard time keeping staffed for a one-bay operation because of seasonal farm labor needs. He said they paid $12.00 per hour, which seems pretty damn good to me for swinging a sprayer.

If you do not live near that area, it might be worth your time to check on any local truck washes to see if they are looking for workers, as they might have the same problem that the Oakley Blue Beacon has with keeping year-round help.
