There is a small truck stop called the Morgan Oil fuel stop (I believe) on US 59 in Nacodoches (or however you spell that) TX that has a BBQ place, CC's Smokehouse, two doors down. You talk about whoa! Some of the best BBQ we've ever had

CC's smokehouse is owned and operated by a friend of mine. Of course, Nacogdoches is my hometown. The Morgan Oil Fuel stop also has a grill inside which the locals come to for their really good cheeseburgers. I don't know if they still do this, but at one point on Tuesdays they would sell the cheeseburgers as "buy one get one free."

Dang it Chickie Monster, you made me homesick now!

So when I go there I'm gonna name drop and get that discount right? lol!

It's not something you can access from any truck stop, I had to take a taxi to get it. But Ivar's Acres of Clams in Seattle has been my favorite thus far. There's a really good joint across the street from the Loves on CA 58, at that one bloody light in the middle of nowhere.

The Big Texan Steak Ranch in Amarillo TX It's expensive but DAMN is it good.

My lead driver took me there when I first started out. The meal was on him. One of these days if were ever in the same area I'm going to repay and make it my treat.

Dang you guys all eat fancy. I just love me a spicy chicken sandwich at Wendy's. Gotta get it with EVERYTHING on it though, all the fixings even add bacon and cheese. Chili instead of fries, Frosty instead of soda. Yeah baby!

Midway Diner off I-78 in PA. Midway exit in Bechtel Township about 15 miles east of I-81 interchange. The cafeteria in Cabela's, Hamburg PA is decent.

I'm more than a little disappointed that I didn't actually have time to check out some of the great looking diners up in that area.

Haha. One qualifier I guess. If I go with the fries vs. chili, you can rest assured many a fry is dipped in said frosty. Many a quality mom/dad or daddy/daughter date have centered around an excursion to town for some Frosty n fries.
