I'm not going to give up just yet, but like I said we had this discussion and I don't have any other option but to move on if it doesn't change soon. The two preplans I've gotten since that discussion on Tuesday are not a very promising sign for my future here. 300 and 400 miles with too much time between preplans. Literally the only time I ran 3000 in 18 months was team and surge for Walmart. Not even training.
I have discussed it with both. It's unfortunate..I consider myself a good safe consistent driver yet I'm lucky to get 2000 a week and that's rare. I wait for a preplan and they're usually 500 miles with a day in between to deliver. And it's not for declining (my decline % is low)..I chain..I do what's expected of me. The only time I seem to get decent loads is if it's for hometimes which I do admit, for the most part they are very good about.DES, I could have written your post. This last 2 1/2 weeks I have hit close to 3k per week. I am 7 months in with Swift. My first 6 months I averaged 1800 per week. Lots of sitting as well. I spoke to my DM 3 Weeks ago coming off of HT and made it clear that I needed more miles. I was VERY polite and professional about it. I will see if the good miles keep coming, I hope so. It is a bit disheartening to hear you are still dealing with it 18 months in. Keep us posted on your progress/ decision.
Ive seen it posted here before, but if youre not getting the desired outcome after speaking with your DM/FM, try going one link higher up the chain. Don't threaten, don't blame (not saying that you would), just ask if there is some way you can improve your performance in order to get more mileage? Or find out if its something that is localized, i.e the load planner doesnt know that you're a reliable driver and as such isnt putting more on your plate.

Thanks Joshua..I could go to Phoenix, but they'd put me right back to my terminal. The only think wrong with my performance is low miles. I don't have criticals or even over speeds and like I said my decline % is low. I could go back to training, but even then I didn't get great miles and now unless I did super solo the whole time and no offense to students, but I couldn't sleep if they were driving in the kind of bad weather that my region gets and will get for the next few months. I would assume my stats are pretty available with my truck # for planning.

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.
