Be sure and go to the regular forum, and read it, but also go to the High Road Training....its free, and it will get you soooo far ahead of everyone else when you start your classes. You can also study on here for your HazMat , and any other endorsements you may want. So sit back, enjoy yourself, ask any questions you want, either here, or in the open forum. I have been on the road with my husband for about 2 months now. I have got to say its an experience, I love it. I am 20 years old and my husband is 21, we are young but full of spirit. When we first got married I just got laid off and he was working at Sams Club, he decided to go into Trucking. We have only been married for a couple months and whats going through my head at that time was why?? I dont make him happy?? Why is he trying to get away from me?? But when I looked into his face when he got his Class A license I saw excitement and so much happiness and just how excited he was to be driving and supporting our family. I was crying deep inside but I knew "I am his wife, I need to support him, he supports me through thick and thin, now its my turn." When he went with his trainer I didn't see him for 4 and a half weeks, it was torture. I was sad that I didn't get to see him or kiss him, but when he called its like we were in love all over again!! He always told me how much he loves trucking and how much he loves to travel, at this point I wasn't upset anymore I was jealous lol. When he came back after those 4 weeks I couldn't stop hugging him and couldn't stop smiling. I used to work at Lowes, so when he just started to drive I took 1 week off and went on the road with him, when we got to Fontana (we live in Sacramento) he got a load to Florida, so me and him had a serious talk and decided for me to quit my job and go on the road with him. Since that day I have been next to him not leaving his side, helping him, supporting in case anything happens. I made an important decision and decided to be a trucker to, when I turn 21 in August im going to school and everything, what do you expect I AM A TRUCKERS WIFE.
