I started my 1st Class B driving job in December 2016 and worked there until March 2017. I left because I thought I'd found my dream job in April 2017 and here it is June 2017 and everything that lead me to accept the new Class B driving job has fell apart although I'm still employed with the company. I'm now seeking new employment but I don't won't to put my current driving job on the application due to me having such a short work history with them. Is it possible that if I leave my present employer off of my driver application and resume the new company will find out?

I have a class A CDL License with no experience and the new company I'm applying for is hiring for Class A drivers even without experience

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

Be honest on your apllication. Honesty is the best policy, especially when applying for driving jobs. If the new comoany finds out that you lied (which they probably will) your chances are shot there.

Yeah, much better to explain that the job or the pay was not what they promised you when you were hired. Don't lie by omission. This industry doesn't reward liars when they're caught.

I have to disagree... You get rewarded with another Grey dog ride.
