You guys can't choose your own routes?

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.

We can to an extent as long as it's not too much extra miles added. They usually want us to follow the fuel route, but mine was all wonky and would have made me late, so I took somewhat of a different route. As long as it's not ridiculously off route they usually don't say anything.

Just finished my first cross country trip successfully. It was a bit of a cluster getting into the best buy dc and the box truck drivers are just as aggressive as the ones I dealt with in Long Beach. Overall it was a good run. Proved myself on this one and really hope I continue to be trusted to do things like this. It was a 2757 mile load overall.
