It served it's purpose at the time, I ended up where I wanted to be from the start. It's all gone full circle so to speak. I couldn't be happier.....

Well ya’ll I’m finally back to work and trying out the new TND 740. I’ve already noticed all the stuff on the screen is smaller. The sound is turned all the way up and I can’t hear it unless the cb and sirus is turned all the way down. It has an audio out plug so I will try an enternal speaker. Just what I wanted another wire, lol. The lane guidance seems to work when it wants also. I have gone through the settings till I’m blue in the face. I’ll be talking to Rand support pretty quick I think. It has picked up good routes to my customers, and construction zones are no better. It has updated itself a total of 4 times since I first turned it on 3 weeks ago. The speed is much faster than the old unit. I’ll keep ya’ll posted

I find it ridiculous that they expect us to pay so much for this & they can't even include Bluetooth!! So now we need a wire for the charger & another wire for speaker. Oh well, I guess they have us by the cojones. I will get it anyway since the reviews are awful for the Garmin.

Good morning ya’ll. I have been working through this new gps and it’s been a learning curve. I’ve run it now for about 6 weeks and at least made a attempt at the various functions.

The unit is alot faster with the new processor which is nice. As said before all the info on the screen is smaller. Which I really hate. I bought the 7” for a very good reason, so I could read it without my glasses. No such luck here.

When you input multiple stops it gives the mileage to the last stop. Before it would give the distance to the next stop. This is huge for me since I normally hit 8-20 stops per trip.

If you set it to show city your in it only shows that, before it showed city and county.

It does connect over a personal hotspot and the old unit never would.

After several calls to RM tech support about the lane guidance not working and low volume, after the latest update those problems went away. I tried the audio out through a speaker but it didn’t improve the volume level.

It does still have issues with construction zones but I think that will always be an issue just because map updates don’t keep pace with the projects.

I’m not sure it’s that much better from the older units to justify the cost. Just my opinion
