MASS CDL EXAM...I passed my air brake, pre inspection part of the test first time BUT failed on a alley dock!.. I didn't have to take my air brake test or pre inspection again but i failed stupidly on maneuvers.. 2 times! ughhh. Had to take a little time off due to a family incident. Before my permit expired, I extended it for another 180 days, started back refreshing lessons with the school. MY QUESTION IS: when i go for my exam will i have to take the air brake and pre inspection test again? Like i said, i extended my permit, its a new permit and i no longer have those passing stamps in the back of the permit. Does the state trooper log it into something? one thing i should mention i changed schools.

  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

I would ask the school, i never had to extend my permit. I think mine was good for 2 years.

If it makes you feel any better, i tested 4 times before i passed.
