Jeremy, if you’ve done everything you can and that still isn’t good enough, maybe those companies are doing you a favor by taking themselves out of the running for your services. You probably saw in business, some customers are just not worth the trouble.
Maybe the picture (of where you’re supposed to be) is becoming clearer.
Good luck!
I have to agree with you 100% on this.
I admit to being extremely worried about the paperwork issue because it seems like such a huge impediment to something I'm pretty focused on achieving. Perhaps it is the lack of input from CRST on exactly what they will except, it seems like not knowing is almost worse than knowing. But what will be, wil be.
And in all honesty, up to this point, everything in my life has worked out in one way or another to funnel me to the point where I am now. Just a few weeks ago I wound up exhausting every dime of our savings to keep us from ending up out on the street. Between a few medical issues my wife had and then suddenly having my truck and her car die within one week, her job was almost gone - and as of late that's been our sole source of income. The money I had saved was earmarked for this journey and suddenly it was gone. Then I found out CRST would take care of everything, including getting me there. Two days later, my brother (who is not in much better shape financially) borrows $1,000 from his 401k and hands it to me so I can finish paying bills, get some traveling gear, and pay for meals once I'm there.
In short, a few other things have lined up (including recently being introduced to millionmiler24) that have me convinced that I'm on the right path. I'm not a very spiritual person, but I do believe we come across specific people, places, and things in our lives for a reason - and I've got a lifetime of stories that will convert any doubter of that cause there just ain't that many lucky coincidences in any 10 life-stories!
In any case, I'll be bringing all the paperwork I have (and following up on the great suggestions I've received here) and what will be, will be. As long as I do everything within my power to make this happen then, whatever the outcome, I can live with it. I dislike excuses, I believe in owning my actions, and I loathe quitters. So, as long as I do what I'm supposed to do, I can live with the results. (And part of doing all that I can is humbling up, jumping in here, and asking for help and advice - which there seems to be no short of!)
Thanks for your support. It's one of the biggest reasons why I have such high-regard for the community that keeps website going!

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager
The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.
