I think that you need counseling so you can stop seeing yourself as flawed or a failure. I don't think trucking is for you. If you are driving a truck and get into an accident, you medical history will be found out and you will lose your job or end up in jail. I do not think driving is a career for you. However, if you can get a medical waiver from the FMCSA , and with full disclosure get a trucking job then do it. Just don't trick yourself into thinking you are safe if you're not. There are so many things one can do to make a living. Trucking is not the answer for everything.
Here's an example of what we can do. When my mom was in high school her dad, my grandfather, was diagnosed with MS. This was long before there were lots of drugs to treat MS. During WWII he couldn't go into the Army. He stayed home and worked at Bouliva watch company making timing devices for bombs. When he could no longer walk or drive, my grandmother got a job. This was a time when few women worked. My grandfather taught himself how to make crossword puzzles and eventually made them for the NY Times. This was long before computers. I can't imagine what he would have thought up with today's technology.
As you can see, it's all about attitude. Your attitude will determine your failure believe you are a failure and you will be. Learn how to be successful. I hope this helps you.
