Hello,
What does it mean by 1st Seating and 2nd Seating during orientation ?
Thanks
I'm not sure that I'm giving you the correct information due to the reference to "orientation"....but normally 1st seat/2nd set is a designation used in team driving in cases where the "1st seat" driver is more experienced and is more or less in charge of the operation. Some companies use this setup...having someone drive for a few months and then call 'em "1st seat" and stick an FNG with them to help finish newbie's training. I had a student recently who suggested that every new driver should get such an opportunity offered to them. His problem was that he was simply afraid to go out on his own. I shared with him that if every company tried to implement that process, there simply wouldn't be enough quality experienced (even if moderately so) drivers willing to deal with the newbies. The companies have a mighty tough time developing an adequate supply of good trainers as it is.
