CDL School Help Needed!!!!

Here's my problem. I decided I wanted to have a career in the trucking industry. I have been looking into companies I can go get my CDL through. But I have a dilemma. I have a Drug Possession charge on my record right now. I have a clean driving record. This charge is just on my criminal record. Band after 2 years, I can get it removed off my record. I caught the charge last February. But I'm wanting to try and get going now. What companies will take me into their program? I'm in KY.

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

I don't think you're going to find a Paid CDL Training Program with that recent a charge. You will most likely need to get that behind you a little further.
