As I was driving (regular car, folks!) home from the store I saw 2 Prime trucks, a green one and a red one, parked on the side of the road. Two blocks from where I live. I thought it was cool because this is one of the companies I am researching for training and a job. I was going to stop & see if they would answer a few questions but I had perishables in the car. *sigh*

Hahah hi Brendie. Ask away.. we have plenty of Prime drivers here including 3 women on this board who either just arrived or just tested.

Dont limit yourself to one company. i love prime but there aee many out there.

Truck Driver's Career Guide

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.
