My understanding is they'll road test you and access your skills, determine your skill level, then either give you a brief refresher or fast track you through their school minus the DOT testing for CDL since you already have one.
If you choose to go to a company that does not have their own CDL school, and you discover you can't get a driving job without a more recent 160 certificate of training, often you can get a WIOA grant through your local unemployment office to pay for private or community college CDL schooling to obtain a more recent certificate of training.. again without the state CDL testing part since you obviously don't need that.

I have a clean A , but I probably need a thorough refresher on how to safely operate a Rig after a long time of not driving one. Are there any reputable employers that would hire me and accommodate my training needs? or would I have to pay for a CDL school before applying for a position ?
