Hello TT forum . I just wanted to introduce myself and comment on how great this place is . BZ to Brett for the quality and quantity of info here and professionals that you can't go wrong unlike over at truckers report but I digress . I've been hanging out on the fringes of TT for a few months just reading and absorbing , well anyway I'm currently a drilling reservist with the Navy reserve , Ooraah Seabees as an Equipment operator , I play with big tonka toys ;) . I'd like to know if there's anyone who is balancing a driving career as well as their military one as well and which companies are vet friendly . I've got so much to say but I'll start with that . Thanks TT

I would say most trucking companies are vet friendly. We tend to tolerate this lifestyle better than many do. However there are a few standouts. Schneider, TMC, Maverick to name a few. Schneider was founded by a group of guardsman/reservists. They definitely stand out as one of the more vet friendly companies.

Thanks , LDSHP. I like what I've read about Schneider and TMC . I am more interested in flat bedding as I am more into that type of work and the unique challenges in has . My pops was a flatbedder for a few years before becoming a firefighter so I got a chance to see a bit of what it was like . Thanks .
