It was Socrates who said “I am wiser than this man, for neither of us appears to know anything great and good; but he fancies he knows something although he knows nothing; whereas I, as I do not know anything, so I do not fancy I do.” as written by Plato. He uses this quote, which in my opinion is one of the greatest truths in the world, to defend his list of things that is riddled with errors and logic failures This is pure irony.
I think the OP needs to also think about the unexamined life, which is another lesson from Socrates
By the way if you never read Plato's Apology it's definitely worth the time to read.
