Yes, CFI is free, but with a 1 year commitment. Although we want to stay with a company long term, you never know what can happen and then you owe the remainder of your tuition. Thanks for all your imput!

Well congratulations. CFI would have been free too. However, do what's best for you. Good luck.

You will love CFI. The one year goes by quick, especially teaming. However, like I tell everyone, it's your life to live. Best of luck and keep us posted.

Hello I am also new to the group and I have been following a few of the forum entries here and it has been super helpful and motivating . I will be coming to CFI as of the 7/18, leaving out on 7/16 on 2 day bus ride coming out of Williamston NC, (Sheesh) but Im very excited to get started with my new career! Looking for any helpful info!

Welcome Christy. If you are going to TDDA, you should be going to Joplin first. They usually get you there the Thursday before you are to begin training and you will head to TDDA by bus on Friday after signing contracts and drug tests. Yes, Courtney is probably the busiest recruiter we have. Emailing her is best. I would double check with her as to where she wants you to do your drug test. I see you filled out an application on line and spoke with her. If you have the driver pulse app, you will get info quickly. I see you are in Dallas. You will have no problem getting home for home time, as we have a terminal there. I am happy to help you any way I can. Best of luck to you. My current student is from Denton.

Terminal:

A facility where trucking companies operate out of, or their "home base" if you will. A lot of major companies have multiple terminals around the country which usually consist of the main office building, a drop lot for trailers, and sometimes a repair shop and wash facilities.

That is a long bus trip. I took it from Charlotte. Bring some snacks and if you have a duffle bag with wheels, that helps.

You have an amazing journey ahead of you.
