I am not good with religious stuff, but as a trucker today is one of those days we all fear. Please take a moment to reflect on those killed. Then ask yourself if you really need to run that extra 50 miles tonight, or next week in the snow or ever just so you can make a few extra dollars. As Joe says drive safe the life you save might be your own.

Yeah, that was terrible. Maybe with all these bad accidents happening the public will stop and think for a second. Semi trucks are big deadly machines and a lot of the time a small car doesn't think about does something and starts a chain reaction. Truly is tragic. Stay safe out there

Ok it sucked that people lost their lives. But regardless of who did what and when did anyone at all happen to notice ALL the trucks piled against each other or rear end other trucks?

What the hell were they thinking driving so close to another truck in that bad of weather? Answer is they were not thinking. So many things could have been avaoid if people would only keep proper following distance and keep a good space around them. So now because people were in a hurry and did not slow down three people lost their lives.

In this case right here just by watching the aftermath of the wreck why its so important not to ride in clusters of vehicles while on the road. Well there are now a few drivers sitting at home wishing they would have use safety while on the road.

Whenever I drive, regardless of the weather, I try to avoid being close to multiple semi-trucks. It's just an accident waiting to happen.

I think the same thing happened in Indianapolis about a year ago. As a matter of fact, it looks eerily similar

I can't understand close driver either. Last winter I was driving through North Dakota and there where 6 semis driving about 20feet behind each other in one of the biggest, dumbest convos on an ice road I've ever seen. The snow was so packed on that interstate it was shiny. It really taught me to stay away from dangerous drivers.

Just remember, When you are driving your big truck. You are the best driver and every other driver is a idiot and can't drive.

That will save your butt, expecting the worse so you are constantly prepared for it.

That's what all those other drivers probably thought. As for me, I think, "I may be a good driver, but I am not to the level of three or four trucks driving next to each other. I think I'll slow down a bit and stay back, in case something happens."

I've had a few close calls when traffic came to a sudden stop.

It is a sad incident, however it could have been prevented by simply following safe winter driving practices. I always use the same rules when driving and maintain a safe distance no matter what others do. Remember any load can e rescheduled or delayed and no amount of money is ever worth your life or the lives of others. 4 wheelers cause more accidents than anyone out of pure stupidity and lack of understanding that our trucks can't stop like they do. Always expect the unexpected and never loose your focus. Be safe.

OOS:

When a violation by either a driver or company is confirmed, an out-of-service order removes either the driver or the vehicle from the roadway until the violation is corrected.
