Trust me, having fear is not a bad thing, it makes you focus on what you're doing. This life is one of the most thrilling you'll have the chance to do in the civilian sector. Fear makes you have a healthy dose on what you are doing and helps you stay in control and obey the rules. In my opinion, go for it. once you do it'll be one of the best decisions you'll ever make.

I know this is a crazy question....but does anyone have any ideas on how in the world i can go to school and pay my bills too???? I cannot keep my current job and go to school too.....this is one thing that has me worried.....

Many private schools offer weekend and some night classes so that maybe an option but private school will cost more and with only going on the weekends it will take longer to complete the course

As with any big company everyone has different opinions of good. It really is up to how you are and what not. You could get a DM you absolutely hate. and that will effect if the company is good or bad, even though it has nothing to do with the actual company. eyes of the beholder. Swift is a big company, they've been around for a while. They have trucks and loads to be given. So in my opinion they are a good company. The equipment is good and the miles are there. You wont make a whole lot of money your first year because you are new but after that you will see decent money. Swift has different fleets aswell and they have lease and owner ops.

Dm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager

The primary person a driver communicates with at his/her company. A dispatcher can play many roles, depending on the company's structure. Dispatchers may assign freight, file requests for home time, relay messages between the driver and management, inform customer service of any delays, change appointment times, and report information to the load planners.
