Clem, You make a valid point...
We are here to help you set realistic expectations and develop a base of truthful knowledge before you commit.
Have you read these links?
I've read all the links on the first page but have not read any of the second. Looks like a fantastic resource. Thank you for pointing it out, and thanks for writing it! I will get on it.
Oops, I thought the first link was something else. I've read a good amount of those but not all of them. Will do. Sorry for double posting.

Clem, what I meant is that when people have expectations, they are usually disappointed. We have quite a few people here who expected to pass on the first try, including me. Prime gives a $250 bonus for those who do and I know people who came to Prime counting on that money, then failing and getting upset and distracted over it, even quitting. And that was just the testing phase.
I honestly wanted to quit 50% of the time during my 40k mile training period. When I went solo, I cried and punched the steering wheel cause I still couldnt back.
Yes, I loved driving before applying. But I hated my old job and felt so trapped that anything would have been better than that. It turned out trucking was a great fit for me cause i hate being micromanaged and want to be left to do my job.
When I cleared my mind of what school and training should be like or what a trucking company should be, I calmed down. When I started to look at things like a puzzle, i could concentrate more. Newbies expect to just "know" everything, but dont realize how long it takes to learn.
Some think this is really just a travel agency so they can see the sights for free.
I am just saying to keep your mind open.
