Have you tried flatbed. You won’t have to back very much at all.
First, running away from a problem isn't going to help, especially if it's just to avoid backing. Practice, patience, and perseverance are the answers.
Second, while the frequency of backing may not be as often, flatbedders often have to back into some pretty tight, close-quarter, hairy situations in areas not designed for trucks at all (off-road, uneven ground, inner-city construction sites, etc).
Switching divisions isn't the answer, at least not with the places some of us flatbedders go.
