Good evening, all. Have any of you experienced living in a state that passed a recreational Cannabis law? Illinois passed a law that goes into effect January 1, 2020. Other than the obvious messages from our safety people, reminding us that marijuana use is still prohibited by federal law, and truck drivers are prohibited from consuming marijuana... I am curious, based on prior experiences, to see if there will be a spike in the "random " drug testing of employees.
On a side note, my son and I were butt blasted in his car over the weekend by an 18 year old who was fully baked. I walked back to do the driver exchange process while the police were on the way, and when I asked for the kids driver's license, he handed me a credit card. Not to mention that when he put the window down it was like Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Fortunately, none of the four people in the two vehicles were injured, and we were able to go upon our way.
