Not only DG accounts, but I will also say this is also a great reason why starting as a P&D driver is a dangerous job for a beginner. All you do is back up all day in parking lots and into driveways.

P&D:

Pickup & Delivery

Local drivers that stay around their area, usually within 100 mile radius of a terminal, picking up and delivering loads.

LTL (Less Than Truckload) carriers for instance will have Linehaul drivers and P&D drivers. The P&D drivers will deliver loads locally from the terminal and pick up loads returning to the terminal. Linehaul drivers will then run truckloads from terminal to terminal.

Hang in there bud, shoot out your apps and chip away at it. Most importantly spend that quality time with your family as best you can while you have time now. Just before this job I got I did alot of fishing and cookouts with my family and church friends. Made great memories.
