Verizon in my family, as well; but for the son, who doesn't drive (yet) and also has Straight Talk, with incredible data, and works great in the country.

Do y'all even know whose towers Straight Talk Cellular really run off? Google it, and I got 3 different answers in 3 different hours, LoL.

Verizon has EXCELLENT hot spot capabilities, and our unused data rolls over; THAT'S a huge plus, even though we are often home and use our WiFi for our cellular data. Yet, when the good ole' power goes off, as often happens in the country; the HOT SPOT ... is just that. Quite hot. We're happy~!
