No they don't look for alcohol. After you're hired you're subject to random drug tests and breathalyzers though.

Hello everyone. I am really interested in going to a truck driving school to get my cdl class A. Right now I'm doing as much research as I can before signing up so I can have all my facts straight. Now I know they do a hair follicle test for drugs in your system within the last 90 days. But I was wondering do you have to completely stop drinking alcohol the 90 days before your hair follicle test. I keep trying to research this topic online and everything I find is about how long you have to wait after you drink before you hit the road. But nothing about the pre-employment hair testing on it. Any help would be very much appreciated.
