Does CFI offer any pay when going to get cdl with them? ive heard lots of great things about CFI highly considering them
Hello Tim, CFI pays your whole way. They provide transportation, CDL school, room, and food. That is all for the school part. After you get your CDL they bring you back to Joplin where you will go through 3 days of orientation. If you then wait in Joplin for your Finisher/trainer they pay you while you wait. I do not know the current rate, it used to be $70.00 per day. Once out with your Finisher you will be dispatched as a solo truck for 21 days. During this time you are paid 29 CPM. Once you upgrade you jump to 35 CPM and by the end of your first year you should be at 42 CPM. Shortly after that you'll hit 43 CPM.
While out with your trainer all extra pay is split. That is Northeast, extra stop, detention and a couple of others.
They will reimburse you for your CDL permit, license, hazmat background check, hazmat and tanker endorsements.
You would then need to drive for them for a minimum of one year.
Hope that helps.
