One more question. Were you parked on the end of a row of trucks? Those spots are dangerous. I try to avoid them when possible.

Yes I was. Problem came from another truck who parked in the middle of the road/throughway about 6 feet from the curb. Forcing people close to me to avoid him

Thanks Joseph! That's why I asked those questions.

Consider it a lesson learned from a rookie mistake. Hopefully you won't have too much down-time from it. I just don't park at the end of a row. I've had it happen to me, and I have witnessed it so many times that I know how easily your truck can get damaged in those spots. In the future, I suggest avoiding those spots if possible. Like you said, it wouldn't have been so precarious if others hadn't parked in such away that you were an easy target.

Part of my usual trip planning includes knowing where I will park for my ten hour break. It also includes getting there early enough so that I can have a decent choice of my parking spot.
