So...I'm confused...how and why did you take a drug test for a company that you didn't work, or wasn't going to work for ????
It was a PRE Employment, meaning, I applied for a job there. When I failed the test they withdrew the offer of employment so I never actually worked for the company.
Well, unless they were a trucking company, I doubt your record of a fail is anywhere but in their paperwork....So you have a choice of how you will answer the question when its asked. I do know that there are drug tests gone bad...it ha[[ened to me on a random, and the company let me retest because they knew me.I retested and came back clean....

Hello all! I have noticed that most trucking companies ask if I have ever failed or refused a drug test. Is this just for DOT related jobs or all jobs in general. I failed a pre-employment drug screen last year, a false positive that I was not allowed to retest for. Is this on a record somewhere or should I just say "no" on the application? I have NEVER failed or had a DOT drug screen. Also, I never worked for the company that I supposedly failed the pre-employment test for. Thank you in advance for your help.
DOT:
Department Of Transportation
A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.
State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.
