I210E is closed at I5s and north right below Santa Clarita, detour is 118 East for a mile and half and then get on 210EB. Who knows how much longer that will be going on for

This appears to be part of a $135.5 million repaving project with 210 going on over several years, spending some of the crazy high fuel taxes they charge here with 2017 Prop 1. From what I can see, closures are from 7pm to 6am and some weekends. You can search here for some details: CalTrans

DOT:

Department Of Transportation

A department of the federal executive branch responsible for the national highways and for railroad and airline safety. It also manages Amtrak, the national railroad system, and the Coast Guard.

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.
