What is the best solution? I am genuinely asking how you think that the issue should be addressed, if it needs to be addressed, in your opinion.

I no longer address rules, regulations, laws, nor HOS questions. As often as you post your internet "facts" on here, would it be a wise use of my time? That's my genuine answer.

When I was driving from the 1960's to 2011 I always idled when needed. A/C when it was hot and heat when cold. I didn't care about anti-idle laws that made no sense even if originally designed for clean air. When you are allowed to idle your truck to keep a dog or cat safe and comfortable and called humane but a driver can sweat or freeze then forget it. Tell a politician or police officer to not run his or her A/C or heater and see the response.
