Glad you made it safe. I shut down up here frequently. Im up in Rapid City SD. Babysitting an empty trailer. My load coming out of here back to Denver will only be 5k. Neither is suitable to run in these winds. Im not moving til Friday morning from the looks of it. As far as I understand there was a few blow overs on 25 and 80 today in WY. Its just the way it is up here.

Yeppers! Kinda makes me happy to be in the 'Valley' of the 'Buckeye' state. Did y'all see MN, too ?!?

There's going to be some 'fun' weather, all OVER central states, supposedly, today. IL is supposed to get the worst of it; thinking about y'all LTL guys, big time! (Bobcat Bob .. report in!)

I35 South of Fairbault Nine trucks blown over!

Be safe, everyone. Stay PUT. Read a book, eat a donut.

ps: Krispy Kreme has a sale on donuts by the dozen; they're matching with the price of fuel !! LoL! Gotta have 'something' to smile about, eh?

LTL:

Less Than Truckload

Refers to carriers that make a lot of smaller pickups and deliveries for multiple customers as opposed to hauling one big load of freight for one customer. This type of hauling is normally done by companies with terminals scattered throughout the country where freight is sorted before being moved on to its destination.

LTL carriers include:

  • FedEx Freight
  • Con-way
  • YRC Freight
  • UPS
  • Old Dominion
  • Estes
  • Yellow-Roadway
  • ABF Freight
  • R+L Carrier

Interstate:

Commercial trade, business, movement of goods or money, or transportation from one state to another, regulated by the Federal Department Of Transportation (DOT).
