Bill, what you do is highlight and copy the text you want to quote. Leave out anything you DON'T want included. Then when the edit window comes up after you hit "Start New Reply," you click on the "Quote" button on the top with the others like "Photo or Smiley." This inserts two markup commands with the cursor between them. If you "Paste" what you copied at this point the text will be located between those big quotation marks and the whole inserted thing will show up as a "box" (not until you post, though) around which you can complete the rest of your comment. When you hit "Preview" before you actually post, the quotation does not look like it will after you submit. Try it out. BTW, when you "preview" you will be looking at the edit window AND the preview window simultaneously so you can see any "Smiley's" and also make corrections of errors like typos BEFORE you submit. Just hit the "preview" again and the corrections will be made so you can see the final result before you "submit" the finished product. Try it!

P.S. I assume you know how to highlight, copy and paste . . . but of course you do . . .

BMI:

Body mass index (BMI)

BMI is a formula that uses weight and height to estimate body fat. For most people, BMI provides a reasonable estimate of body fat. The BMI's biggest weakness is that it doesn't consider individual factors such as bone or muscle mass. BMI may:

  • Underestimate body fat for older adults or other people with low muscle mass
  • Overestimate body fat for people who are very muscular and physically fit

It's quite common, especially for men, to fall into the "overweight" category if you happen to be stronger than average. If you're pretty strong but in good shape then pay no attention.

HOS:

Hours Of Service

HOS refers to the logbook hours of service regulations.

Thanks Jopa - I'll give it a whirl. I own myself a yellow highlighter, cheated a lot in school, and confess I like the taste of Elmer's glue... but is that what you were asking?good-luck-2.gif

HA! Your analogy reminded me of the tale of Sisyphus. The ancient king that was damned to an eternal, meaningless chore. He had to roll a boulder up a hill, and just near the top, it would always roll back down again. Thus starting again the meaningless effort of Sisyphus. He never reached his goal, never made it to the top, was always struggling without meaning and without an end in sight.

Wow! I don't recall ever hearing that story. Well, I guess history is bound to repeat itself as are storytellers! rofl-3.gif

So much for being original I guess. Back to the drawing board!

Yes, getting that "highlighter" off the screen is a bit tricky . . . BTW that's how you can tell a blond has been using your computer . . . the "white out" on the monitor . . .
