Dont take this as gospel, but I am under the impression that insulin dependent is a no-go. If I am wrong, my apologies!

George, you may be correct, I don’t know but I’d like to confirm this. The OP apparently has type 1 diabetes. I have type 2, easily managed with meds and strict diet.

No, he could be Type 2 on insulin. When Metformin or other pills quit working, the person goes on insulin.

Type 1 was known as "Childhood" diabetes. My granddaughter developed Type 1 just weeks after her 7th bday. While playing with the neighbor kids, she fell to the ground. My daughter picked her up, put her in the car and rushed her to the emergency room. Her blood sugar level was over 900. She has been on insulin since day one. Her grandfather, my ex, was on pills for quite a few years and then could not control his blood sugar levels and was on a combo of pills and insulin. After not being successful getting them leveled, he went on straight insulin. He always describes his diabetes as type 2 or "Adult Onset".

State and Federal DOT Officers are responsible for commercial vehicle enforcement. "The truck police" you could call them.

Fm:

Dispatcher, Fleet Manager, Driver Manager
