I've driven 22 through there numerous times. It's a truck friendly route.

As with all areas, consult the atlas for low bridges, route restrictions, and the routing itself. Eyes on road signs for alerts of " No Trucks Here".

As a Walmart driver who has driven out of Wintersville a lot you can take 22 all the way down to 77 but I would suggest taking OH 7 down to 70 then go across as it takes the same amount of time.

You're probably there & back now, but Tom actually said 22 is just fine; he takes it often. He mentioned the 7 & 70 as well, but said that 22 would be easier.

ps: How'd it go?

I opted to go the way another driver on here suggested, which was OH-7 to I-70. Shorter miles going US-22, but same travel time.

I am now headed east to a two-stopper in Severn, MD and Greencastle, PA.

Glad it all worked out for ya, man! Since you are often in Ohio, do you have this app? OHGO , Ohio Roads & Traffic.

It's a very helpful tool !

Be safe,

~ Anne ~

I do. I typically use it when road conditions from weather events are in question.
