Were you hired for a dedicated account?
I've been with them for about 3 months now and I feel like it was the worst decision of my life. They hired me to do local at $15.5 an hour and $25 per load with 3 to 4 loads a day averaging $1400 a week. As soon as I started they started giving me regional loads where 1 load takes up almost my whole day. They'll have me go to do a live load that's 3 hours away then I gotta sit there for 2 or 3 hours while I'm being loaded and then drive the load back. I just feel like I got a huge bait and switch.
What state do you call home?
Usually refers to a driver hauling freight within one particular region of the country. You might be in the "Southeast Regional Division" or "Midwest Regional". Regional route drivers often get home on the weekends which is one of the main appeals for this type of route.
