I'm considering shaking things up and moving to Atl from Tampa FL so I can get a decent paying be home daily/weekly company gig. I've been driving since 2014 and Have my own small, now down to one truck, MC doing mostly Dray work out of Charleston SC. I am just tired of living in my truck and I think this would be an easy expansion way to get insurance and company benefits as well as more home time for myself without having to reach into my own pocket for anything to do with the truck I'm driving. Does anyone know of any temp work in ATL that I might do while I figure out if I want to make this change? Is that even a thing? I just don't want to hire on with somebody and decide in a month that I don't want to do it after they went through the cost to hire me. I've been there and it sucks for the company.

Hey Peter couple questions, why not move to the Charleston area and still do the drayage gig? It booms over there. I know of a couple folks that are over that way doing it and are home daily.

Atlanta is a hot mess all the time, maybe you have some good reasons but the rest of Ga don’t even claim that area.

Savannah has alot of drayage also or even Jacksonville. Alot of folks down there are home daily or pretty close to it.

Just my thoughts.
