If a student is let go from a company sponsored CDL company during orientation and never was an employee. Does that disqualify student from other CDL sponsored companies.

CDL:

Commercial Driver's License (CDL)

A CDL is required to drive any of the following vehicles:

  • Any combination of vehicles with a gross combined weight rating (GCWR) of 26,001 or more pounds, providing the gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of the vehicle being towed is in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 or more pounds, or any such vehicle towing another not in excess of 10,000 pounds.
  • Any vehicle, regardless of size, designed to transport 16 or more persons, including the driver.
  • Any vehicle required by federal regulations to be placarded while transporting hazardous materials.

If depends on the reason they were let go. Do you have more details?

Hello Christopher,

Welcome! Just a heads up, companies typically don't release a new student without a good reason. If you can provide very specific details and be thorough than it will help the forum members advise you from there. The more cold hard facts you hold back, the less value will be in our responses. In other words, if you want thorough and honest advice, we need thorough and honest details pertaining to your situation please.
