I am an Artic driver in UK, On my Facebook feed it came up with a film that Lee Majors was in, A Semi driver was on his break and refused to move, the Majors character got in a vehicle and tipped the trailer over. Was/is the Semi driver in his rights NOT to move when he is on his break. In the UK you do not move when on a break. The ones on the forum say that he should have moved. I know it is only a film, but what is right here? Can he be forced to move or not?

Depends!!

Is he legally parked??

Is he on private property that is not strictly held open for truck parking??

Is it law enforcement telling him to move??

There is a provision in our hours of service where a driver can under limited circumstances move the truck while on break.
