Dammit hit the wrong button, & lost my reply...........Short n sweet, things "ain't greener on the other side of the pond" for either 1, Canada, or the U.S., period. There's far too many drivers in the US, than there is freight. And lots of companies, big and small,have shut down, firing 10's of 1000's of drivers. Who even are having hard time finding new driving jobs, companies now have the upper hand...
And being a new immigrant if you moved, would still need at least 1 year+ with a drivers license BEFORE getting a CDL-A.....
Who knows, until after the elections are said and done, "maybe", things will slowly improve?? With someone, who has a BackBone and Big Nuts is in back in that office.....

UK trucker here looking at options to try and move stateside , Canada is easier but i would prefer USA , Any ideas
