Put On Disability Because Of A Shoulder Injury From A Past Accident

Today I went to the doctors and I was put on temporary disability and told that I cannot work until I get surgery on my shoulder. I just started working for Western Express flatbed division for two months now. Will I still be nailed down by their contract, even though I was medically told not to work.
