I have 3 minor charges from 2004|2005 (possession of mari. And possession of paraphernalia, I was a dumb 18 year old) and I was terminated from my last job which I hehad for 3 years. Someone accused me of leaving money next to safe, but no money was missing. One or the other is keeping me from being hired so far for any company with cdl program but I'm not giving up yet I have about 10 more apps out there. Any advice on companies that give someone a chance. Thanks for your help by the way awesome website.confused.gif

Well, one of the simple solutions is the next turn down you get ask them WHY.....the weed thing is an alarm, but it shouldn't be a killer, and the terminations wasn't for anything earth shattering that a trucking company would flag....Maybe the next time you speak with a recruiter ( LIKE CALL THEM ) you need to explain both issues, so they know you aren't an drug crazed thief... But keep applying...and just impress on them that both situations are minor......and you have GROWN UP. If the weed charge is the issue, you can prepare a motion to the court to have it expunged due to the impact it is having on your ability to gain employment...and the fact that you have been virginal since that legal issue....It never hurts, and anyone can petition the court with a well written letter. If you have any questions, or need any advice, feel free to pm me.

OK, So now I have talked to "C.R.somethinorother" and according to the recruiter it is just company policy because they are drug related that i am "currently UN-hire able" but the silver lining in this all the companies that have been turning me down so far will have no reason to turn me down next April because they will all be over 10 years old then. Also Wer... is going to take all my info to their "review board" which I think just means to his supervisor and discuss my situation with him and will give me a call back in 24-48 hours which is promising. and Ste.... Transport is ok with my past because its over 5 years old but because i let the employment center here in Cochise County fax the app in i have to wait 48 hours for them to receive it and review it before they can help me any further. All in all i am starting to feel more confident i will find a company that will hire me out of school. I guess if you want something bad enough and can jump through hoops you'll get it.
